4 Feng Shui Tips Before Buying a New Home

Posted by tasan@developer on June 2, 2021

What Is Feng Shui? The philosophy of feng shui is a practice of arranging the pieces in living spaces in order to create balance with the natural world. The goal is to harness energy forces and establish harmony between an individual and their environment. Living in a house with good or bad Feng Shui really does change your life. Good feng shui also means good health, happiness, and prosperity. This will help you with the house sale in the future too.

Location, community and lots

In feng shui, the concept of real estate has a deeper meaning because it handles the quality of energy into the home. Make sure your house gets good energy from the surroundings —— clean streets, good neighbors, nearby buildings with no Sha Chi, no slopes behind the house, etc.

In consonance with Feng shui, a house located on high or at least level land will allow the best flow of energy. Ideally, the lot will be either square or rectangular in shape with an open area in front of the dwelling. It should never be located on a dead end, or at the end of a T-junction, as these spots tend to hinder energy flow, thus allowing stagnation. A house where the land rises slightly behind it is best, as that will slow the energy departure. It is better if the house sits on the front half of the lot, but be sure that the entrance to the house does not sit below road level, as this may allow positive energy to bypass the house.

In buying a new house, it is important to consider the history of the house. For example, previous owners played a role in the energy dynamics of the house. If the owner has a terrible history of death or divorce, the energy of the house will likely be problematic. If a bad event occurs, stay away from such a house as negative energy tends to manifest. Also, beware if nearby homes are in disrepair or neighbors seem to be unsuccessful, as this may show a lack of positive energy. Furthermore, all animals in the area, whether pets or wildlife such as birds and squirrels, should appear healthy.

Front Door

The front door is very important in feng shui as this is how the house accepts “qi” or energy nutrition. In feng shui, people, immediately start to see the feng shui direction of the house to see if it is suitable for one of the lucky feng shui directions for family members. While this is always a good idea, don’t forget to see all the elements of a solid feng shui front door. The size and proportion of the door is relative to the rest of the house and the path to it. Sometimes you can change a bad feng shui with simple landscaping and sometimes you can’t even notice it.

Floor Plan

Having a good feng shui floor plan is very important too. A house with a square or rectangular floor plan is the best choice of a house. Houses with uneven floor plans, although it is interesting when you visit, might not be optimal places to live. It will ultimately have serious energy challenges. Houses in square or rectangular floor plans are easier to arrange and have better energy and fewer major energy problems. Example floor plan,
